John, asking you pastor is wise. cell groups is a little overhyped....sort of like amway. Cell groups can work..but it is still work. Don't mean that you accept heavy yolk. The Holy Spirit has to provide the muscle, but in a church that has as many new christians as we do then their are allot of dirty diapers. It requires doing the basics. Loving and accepting people just the way they are..and follow up and follow up ..follow up. And equiping the whole church to be powerful ministers of God. By misisters I don't mean pastors. God has a dynamic plan for everyone. But somebody has got to minister to smaller cities...so not all churches are going to grow from 200 to 3000 that quick if the whole city just has 10000 people and what about even smaller cities. The key is putting in place what God indicates for quality growth. Quality is alot better than just numbers. Our church has actually grown too fast and it overwelmed the pastor. But, he loves Jesus and finds God's will. THis keeps us reinventing what we are suppose to do to handle the growth. Sort or like Moses in the desert. Sooner or later they got organized.
