Anyone Who Thinks Mobile Advertising Is Going To Be Huge Needs To See These Charts...

This article rehashes much of what the prior two contain, but, then, note, it ends up with:

"Now, importantly, there are some native forms of truly mobile advertising that are working and growing quickly.
These include:

"Dedicated mobile display ads (small overlays at the top or bottom of the screen )Dedicated mobile video ads (highly intrusive and annoying) Twitter ads (Twitter now says half of its ads are consumed on mobile) Facebook mobile ads (in the news feed)Geo-targeted search and other ads Groupon Now and other location-based ads.Pandora's audio adsMost of those ads really are true mobile ads. And spending on them is certainly a nice opportunity and is increasing."

The difference is... accepting that the way we use mobile devices... requires rethinking...

And, it seems it is the simple task of stopping to look at what the new device really IS... before expecting consumers use of it will mimic their patterns in the use of other devices... is the source of the problem. Because most aren't doing it.
