<<I don't think we do all know that pot helps us think better. There's no question that it's great for listening to music, but it only makes you think you're smarter overall.

I have a lot of experience smoking pot, and a lot of experience not smoking pot. Overall, I do much better thinking when I'm not smoking it.>>

Let me clarify that. For sure you cannot do "reality" as well while "on" pot e.g. math. All poker players know you cannot smoke pot and win. It is not as bad as alcohol, but I would never smoke pot in a big poker game. I can beat a small game stoned, but not drunk.

But I believe it helps us think creatively (takes us outside the box) and increases our thinking "overall" when we are straight again.

Scientific American had a huge spread on pot a couple of years ago. They called it a "tonic for the brain". I can't remember everything it said, but research shows it keeps neurons young, builds new neurons, cleans protein from the brain that causes dementia and builds "mirror neurons".

In poker we poker players know all the great poker players who were also drinkers ended up their life playing 2/4 (that is a very small game only the worst players play). But pot smokers can play as well or even better in old age. I have been smoking pot for almost 50 years off and on and my poker game has never been better.

The sad thing many poker players will tell you is that it is really a lot of fun to play poker stoned, but you will lose your money. We still do it anyway the fun is so much fun-lol. And we do it a lot, knowing better-lol.
