No, Bush did not follow Keynesian economics. Keynes would have kept the Clinton tax policies in place and continued paying down the debt. Keynes said to pay back debt during good times.

Are you forgetting Bush said the government was getting too much tax money and he was going to give it back to the rich who paid it. And he said rich.

Had Bush kept on the Clinton track the debt was scheduled to be paid of by 2012. Instead Bush passed three tax cuts, started two wars off budget and doubled the deficit in 8 years from 5 to 10 trillion.

That is the real story.
