Europeans in general, and European Farm groups in particular who have a lot to lose economically if GMO products are available in Europe, are biased against this product. They lobby their politicians constantly to prevent importation of this product and European environmental green groups have a cottage industry going in propagandizing GMO products out of European existence. Additionally, all the evidence presented to these courts was unscientific opinion.

Now I do not know anything about GMO corn scientifically, but my point is that I doubt a fair trail could have been had in this instance and that there were politics involved in the case.

As far as not disclosing ingredients of GMO products there are huge sums of money tied up in these patents and third world countries which are not signatories to the International Patent treaties wouldn't hesitate, IMHO, to use this information to their benefit much as they have done with pharmaceutical products.

So that is the other side of this "story".
