Well, you are right as far as Obama goes, but I'm not sure the left has followed him rightward. In any event, my hope is that the November elections will result in some sort of political stalemate and that the need to resolve the draconian budget cuts set to automatically ensue will spur the parties to actually get to work on enactable compromises.
