GMO SEED Producers (not food manufactures) have a patented monopoly right now and they are not selling to the masses, but too large planters. Those are the people who I think do not want to label the chemicals/genes/ or processes within their seeds and would go to court to protect this.

And there is a difference I think between requiring the food producer to label (other than GMO generic ingredients) and requiring patent or trade secret disclosures.

Question: If a product has been blessed by the FDA or the Dept. of Agriculture what right has a state to require a higher standard for use within its borders?
