Kevin; RE:" Longer-Term Options as Trading Instruments..."

I'm liking these 'longer term' options that I've entered over the last few weeks, David. Takes alot of the worry out of the position.

...we've been investigating using LEAPS as trading vehicles in the bellwethers MSFT INTC AMAT DELL CSCO. However the BID/ASK spreads for many of them are quite wide, and liquidity is one concern for the trader, for they can be difficult to quickly close unless the LEAP has a lot of volume in-between the (wide) BID/ASK spread. One should probably study the delta of LEAPS contracts carefully.

Far '98 PUTs and CALLs do appear to be better suited for this purpose, than LEAPS.
