Sam: Doc summed it up pretty well.

CKFR has pretty much eliminated or absorbed all its immediate competition in the e-pay business, which is producing nice cash flows and growing like crazy. According to CKFR's latest press release -- biz.yahoo.com -- it now has more than 2 million e-pay customers at 850 financial institutions, including all but a handful of the nation's largest banks.

And in the e-bill area -- not yet really a business, but an area where the per-transaction profits are potentially several times greater than the e-pay business -- CKFR is way, way ahead. It's already up and running with more than 20 big billers, and CEO Pete Kight said in a recent conference call that several more announcements are in the pipeline. Meanwhile, CKFR's biggest POTENTIAL competition in the e-bill area is MSFDC, a joint venture of Microsoft and First Data. But they won't even have a product operating until "early" 1988. In other words -- vaporware.

You can read up more thoroughly from CKFR's filings:
freedgar.com

Also, if you call CKFR's investor relations department they will fax you all future press releases. They are announcing new e-bill customers on a pretty regular basis.
