Okay fine - I think they were and did, but if you're convinced they aren't a stimulus then fine, we disagree on that. BUT you can hardly argue that the checks sent to all Americans weren't a stimulus and surely you won't argue that the lowered interest rates weren't keynesian style stimulus . Lower interest rates to spur the economy are right out of Keynes playbook. And the government spending on the wars are also pure keynes stimulus spending. You (and I ) might not like that spending of money on blowing up countries - and fixing them with American labor and American made stuff, but we are then arguing political policy and not economic policy.
