Had France held Canada, I suspect remainder of the continent would be occupied by English speakers in the east and Spanish speakers in the west/southwest. So... no Team USA! ;)

P.S. The French contribution to the American Revolution was prominently mentioned during my own school education. Many features in the region of my birth have French names like Hennepin, Le Sueur, Marquette, Nicollett, Renville, Flambeau, Coteau des Prairies, Lac qui Parle, Traverse des Sioux, Prairie du Chien, Butte des Morts, etc.
