Exactly, GZ. BTW, I see that Mitt Romney has accepted an invitation to speak at an NAACP convention soon. Considering that 96 percent of Blacks vote for Democrats, isn't this rather like Mitt agreeing to speak at a convention of Liberals/Leftist Democrats? Frankly, I don't see any difference, but placing all of that aside for a moment, wouldn't it be refreshing if Mitt showed up and spoke to Blacks like they are adults, rather than defenseless children who are in the perpetual custodial care of the government?
Imagine Mitt telling them, "I appreciate the fact that most of you voted for President Obama in 2008. He's a man who shares some of your heritage and I understand the importance of that to you. More importantly, I respect that. The question you have to ask yourselves today, as you look at your lives, is are you better off under President Obama? Are your families better off? If you vote for me, I cannot promise you that I will stop all forms of racism in the world that affect you, but I can promise you that employment for all Americans, including Black Americans, will improve. Our nation's economy will also improve, very, very significantly. I'm asking for your consideration and your vote. Thank you." Some are bound to dismiss him as another uncaring racist. But will all of them do so? All Blacks cannot be that stupid. I know for a fact they are not. There are too many legitimately successful Blacks to believe otherwise. |
