Democrats voting in the West Virginia primary came out strong for an imprisoned extortionist, Keith Russell Judd.

Judd scored 42.28 percent of the vote — or 49,490 votes — compared with President Obama with 57.72 percent, or 67,562.

Mr. Judd will not be awarded any delegates because the president won more votes than the winner of the GOP primary, Mitt Romney, who scored 51,470 votes.

The media spin is that West Virginia never cared for Obama. Excuse me, but the state is blue, very blue. They would normally support an incumbent.

This is more than a protest vote. This is a protest with a message. West Virginia is a coal state. Obama is banning new coal plants and plans to level restrictions on existing coal plants. The restrictions will likely be much worse after the election when Obama is “more flexible.” Obama wants coal gone.

The fact that coal accounts for half the electricity in our country evades the President.
