This was Rumsfeld in 1980 under Reagan; not under Bush in 2000. Haven't you ever seen the photos of Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam? Why Iran hates us is because we armed Saddam in his war with Iran. We also sold him some of the ingredients in the manu. of WMDS which he used to go after the Kurds. It all came out during a congressional hearing in the early 90s. Its why Saddam didn't think the US would go after him when he invaded Kuwait.
