Mohan,

People tend to save for their retirement and there are alot of these savings sloshing around the system providing liquidity. It's not the Fed. It's primarily market forces. Market forces are much bigger than the Fed. The US economy and political system is the envy of the world and sure we are benefiting from a flight to quality. I do not think this is about to change very quickly.

Have you found it to be more profitable to look at WS through the lens of a "bear" rather than to be agnostic about the movement of the overall market while seeking out particular extremes of overvaluation and undervaluation? If I were to believe, as you do, that the market as a whole is 40% overvalued, I would be heavily short stock indexes. Is this your position?
