Exactly which feature in the future, unreleased WP8 core has you so hot and bothered that you couldn't live without in on your Lumia 900?
Its a fantastic 4G 4" LTE phone, great value, selling well, top reviews, super screen great camera - BFD if it doesn't have hardware specs required for WP8. WP7 continues to be enhanced; the Lumia 900 will get the (future) WP 7.8 upgrade, and theres lots of software - much of it exclusive, coming for the Nokia Lumia line. I wouldn't be surprised if there are continued OS enhancements of the (reduced resource) CE core far beyond the release of the (NT core) WP8.
I can guarantee you that the iPhone 4S won't ever get a 4G LTE upgrade (the 4's OTA 4G upgrade was really a miracle, wasn't it?). The Lumia definitely isn't getting software downgrades, like replacing a great mapping software with inferior in-house substitute from Apple. Microsoft also doesn't deliver a feature-stripped upgrade either. You get it or you don't. Calling a feature stripped upgrade "the same" upgrade as others got is euphemistic propaganda. Thats fancy for a lie.
Why don't you go write a blog post about how Apple is screwing all their customers by selling a 3G 3 1/2 inch phone that won't ever be upgradeable, and switching to a new proprietary docking port from their old one, forcing all their users to chuck their overpriced accessories, and spam that all over SI? Only this time, put some spaces between your paragraphs, and read your work before you post it - or let us in on what it means to be stabbed in the back "my" an ego maniacal partner.
