Reagan the only republican president with a good jobs record absorbing most of the growing labor force. Carter and LBJ were so good at job creation actually ahead of even Clinton by a hair which shocked me. Why did Jim not respond? Because wingers have worked diligently to make Carter look like the worst president in history and the Reagan the best. From what I have read about the Carter presidency, he did a lot of good........and I like his homespun philosophy............if oil is expensive and you can't afford high heating bills, put on a sweater. Such an attitude is anathema to Rs who spend their entire lives steeped in American 'exceptionalism' and superiority. To Carter's credit, he didn't let his one term stop him..........and he has gone on to do great things.........like Habitat for Humanity. Carter is the most under rated president of the modern era......IMO.
