There are a billion Muslims in the world. Osama is a larger hero than Obama. LIke the Northern Kurds they are very uneducated, brainwashed and pervasive. An inexhaustable supply of human fodder.
Yes, there are a billion Muslims, but that doesn't mean there are a billion potential AQ recruits. The vast majority of Muslims are very much opposed to the killing of innocent civilians, and to them, Osama was no hero. AQ membership has been declining, and in absolute terms is very small. Unfortunately, a small number of determined people can cause a lot of damage.
