I, a nobody, agree. not that the market "wants" to go higher, but that it will. Machine to machine, and the powers that be, seem to control it completely. It has a life of it's own. It just clicks away.
I repeat that, this market has a life of it's own. Moving inexorably higher, Just last week, when it was going down, Bloomberg radio, was saying, not to worry, we still have the PPT. etc. etc. It has a "mind" of it's own, so to speak. All "black swans" are painted "white". and the institutions , particularly those that can't short (most??????) are afraid to sell. Just J6P checking in. I , for once, agree. will I cover my shorts, no, Glutton for punishment. Huge glutton for punishment. Trade what is, not what should be. Will I go long anything, no, not that either. .......
The huge bets made by a few, on the subprime market, suffered a long long time. I really enjoyed Michael Lewis's "the big short". not that i believe that this is the same. this is not different. they have it locked in with computer programs. Do you remember that quote in summer of 2009, when that Russian guy was arrested for downloading and stealing GS's proprietary software, the prosecutor in the summer of 2009 was quoted as saying "there is a danger that someone who knew how to use this program, could use it it unfair ways" let me repeat that "THERE IS A DANGER THAT SOMEONE WHO KNEW HOW TO USE THIS PROGRAM, COULD USE IT IN UNFAIR WAYS". . GS's program. well, they are the only ones allowed, with their backing to "USE IT IN UNFAIR WAYS" lololol.
Well, there you have it. that's why I stopped trading a long time ago, it is corrupt and fraudulent and manipulated. and frankly, I , as J6P cannot envision what black swan would be "unpaintable".
I will outlive my assets anyway. this market makes me sick. I'm posting on a Sunday afternoon, so no one will read this anyway. The prosecutor's comments should have raised the hair on any trader's head. unless they were long and planning to remain that way.
