David, these Novell discussion threads are getting too crass, dirty and dehumanizing. I am going to do a timeout thing and disappear.

I can understand the frustration, though. The stock has to go up at least 50% for most to get out at breakeven. And Novell has confirmed that it intends to stay independent. Stupid is as stupid does, right?

No short-term turnaround. Only a battle of attrition left. And against a giant with $7B in cash, and triple the corporate IQ.

I hope, in spite of the flames and indignities that have been heaped upon you, that you realize that you have done a great job in educating investors about the horrific risks associated with investing in Novell.

There are, no doubt, a lot of silent visitors (those who read these threads, but never participate) who appreciated your advice and avoided this investment fiasco. They will never write to say thanks, but have moved on to other investment opportunities.

In short, you called this one right and the ones who flame you are those who lost. Fewer people are attending Novell seminars. Fewer people are re-selling Novell products. Fewer people believe in the company's future.

Good luck to those of you who want wait a couple of years <g> to see a return on your investment.
