Manic markets with no sense of direction and 200+ point moves daily are very reminiscent of August 2008, just before the panic set in.

The only difference is oil not surging to $147/bbl.
In its place we have fiat money printing almost out of control, civil unrest all over the place, rampant unemployment and a whole host of TBTF institutions being propped up by various governments. We also have several COUNTRIES (not companies!) teetering on the brink.

The big picture is not pretty. Be prepared - better safe than broke.
