Timothy: The short answer is "yes", which looks bad for MGI. But if you read reviews of the two products it becomes clear that MGI's has greater capability than MSFT's. In fact, it was this that led "Family PC" to prefer the latter. It's virtue is relative simplicity, which is important for the computer novice. But I would think that for the computer literate the extras would be appealing.
