True ...north Africa thru Ethiopia Egypt Palestine used to be far far more lush & green , if you went back just 2500yrs ...read the post , sheep & goats were the food animal & they destroy pasture like no other grazing animals .

Do that for 3000yrs & you end up with erosion , desolation bareness and even changes the climate ...these aniamls eat it down to the nubs . Destroys the topography & vegetation .
