How much would the idea of a perfect circle or an infinite set of numbers weigh if your brain never existed?
The short answer is they don't exist for that brain you just stated doesn't exist but how does a perfect circle come into existence , thats simple , a man takes a string & stake in the sand & pulls it around in a circle or looks up and sees the sun or the moon which are circles. (zing!)
But first you have to have the 3 1/2 billion yrs of evolution for that brain to come into existence first , little things like a nervous system , spinal column , opposing thumbs , inherited genetics with the corresponding framework of instincts .
These concepts & ideas rise out of other reactions to concepts & ideas , observations made stored & shared , passed down , taught , preserved in spoken & written language etc , but all originate with those first impressions built upon proto ideas . In every case they don't exist until that person trained to 'think" of them envisions them and that its self always involves a material process , no matter how etherial it may seem to you to your desire to "wish away" with fantasy . |
