Most people seem unaware that money is virtually free for the US when the interest rate on a ten year treasury is about 1.5% as it is now. This is close to the inflation rate or even below it. In short who would be so foolish as not to borrow money for free? And invest it in things giving a return far greater than its almost zero cost? I suspect fear of borrowing in these circumstance is mainly due to irrational debt-phobia.
