To which of course he starts posting about how "science" is a big conspiracy to discredit religion or some such thing.... Give the wing nutz credit... at least when one "whopper" doesn't work out, they go find an EVEN BIGGER ONE to try on! That's the hallmark of someone with no real interest (in the truth of) the topic at hand but only a tangential axe to grind. For example, longshort clearly has no real interest in the truth of AGW or noAGW... his axe (boogie men) is "evil liberals"... AGW is just collateral damage, so to speak. Brummar has reached a very advanced stage or "wingnutedness" (new word!)... in his world there is a big correlation between evidence that his views are wrong and science... so he's reached a nearly terminal stage of craziness where "science" itself is really just a big cabal of evil-doers that are out to get him and his world. They're going to ruin it all... so at this stage education itself is suspect... any emotional thought that pops into his head and a rambling sermon on Sunday is much more reliable presumably. Kinda like in many ME countries interestingly enough... in those cultures emotionality and loud proclamations are highly repected... sound familiar??? Read any international business book on cross cultural communitcation on this. That said, I'm confident the system will work in the long run... there is a potential NOBEL PRIZE for anyone with a proven substantially better climate model or even important new insights on the matter. Of course you're not likely to be able to show much or help anyone without an education. DAK
