How did you trust the results back in the day when you'd go through a travel agent?

As long as we all keep in mind that every free service is trying to sell you something - or trying to sell you *to* something :) - and act accordingly, I think it's all good.


Fair enough, but the internet kicked the butt of the travel agent industry when search engines enabled consumers to get competitive pricing with ease. I would hate to see the proliferation of sleazy ad practices overwhelm internet searches to the point that we would be better off with , e.g., travel agents.
