Bet this'll still be festering a decade hence.

I agree. It was a decade or more of effort, of following the process defined, before I became a US citizen. It is not unreasonable for me to expect a process to be followed by future migrants. (legal of course).

What gets me is the OVERT policy of both parties to "DO NOTHING", so they can get votes.

This NON-POLICY makes every legal migrant a SCHMUCK.
