Thanks for the welcome, guys. I haven't looked at Imperial. I likely already have enough mining stocks -- at this point almost all are losing positions for me.

I do hold though some of the same stocks you guys have been discussing: LUK, TSCDY come to mind.
I also like to follow R Rodriguez and his picks and the other guys you've mentioned. Rodriguez seems to have reduced his positions in ARW and AVT-- I hold those two and recently increased my position in ARW when the stock fell below book value. I hold both because I like their low forward p/e estimates. ARW's been profitable in 8 of the past ten years; AVT in 7.

In this market my buys are generally VERY small. And mostly, my position size is small too. Otoh, I almost always keep at least 200 positions spread over many sectors. My oil and gas related stocks comprise my largest sector.
