I don't know how many of you read Michael Lewis' The Big Short which chronicled Burry and his investment along with some others involved. A terrific book. Burry is a really interesting character that made him a great subject . He has Asperger's syndrome which as you may know is a very high functioning variant of autism spectrum.

As a result he has lousy social skills which made it difficult to communicate with his investors with some leaving before the trade finally panned out. I think he invests for himself now because he doesn't want to have to deal with clients he'd be managing money for. He also has just one eye which may have affected his personality as it was noticed by other kids. Because of the high functioning part of his Asperger's he is a math whiz and was able to go through incredibly complicated and lengthy details of financial info particularly involved in what was actually in a lot of these bundled mortgages that were crap but rated AAA. I would have been interested in what he's invested in now but last I heard it was farmland which I think some other big players invested in. Anyway it was a great book and that and Too Big to Fail were the two financial crisis books I read, both great.
