Will Nokia be acquired? If so, then by whom? What other options exist? How can we analyse this?

I think anyone looking at Nokia, would look at Nortel as an example.

Nokia has huge "Pension Obligations" to NSN employees. Currently exceeding 50,000 employees. Similarly, Nortel had huge "Pension Obligations"... Sure the underlaying assets had value to prospective companies. But, those companies waited until a Bankruptcy filing so that the assets they were interested in could be acquired without all of the "long term obligations" that would have to be addressed by a suitor out of bankruptcy.

I suggest a revisit of the Nortel model here.
