One market that iOS will retain is that of special, professional apps for medicine, trading, etc where cost of the device is irrelevant (at least to the app makers). It looks like I will have to keep my 3GS for another year while my apps are ported to Android (I hope). I predict a rerun of the days when people bought Windows 3 PCs and ignored MacIntosh. Unless the price of a good iPhone drops radically the same thing will happen again.
