DVCPRO 50 Line Unveiled
Panasonic Broadcast unveiled its new line of DVCPRO 50 equipment that is sure to be the company's highlight of NAB next year.

The new line consists of the AJ-D950 studio editing VCR, switchable between 25 Mbps, 4:1:1 signals and 50 Mbps 4:2:2 signals; the AJ-PD950 525 progressive editing VCR; the AJ-D900W and AJ-PD900W camcorders; and the dockable AJ-D90 VTR.

The company is planning to release an upgrade kit for the AJ-D950 VCR to provide 525 progressive recording. All the VTRs provide RS-422, RS-323C parallel remote control and SDI compatibility.

The two camcorders are widescreen switchable and feature 2/3-inch M-FIT CCDs and 10-bit recording. (Panasonic, 201/392-4319)
