The real big problem is that we may continue being uncompetitive in the global markets. Hard to imagine a great nation like the US go ahead and blow out, like an Argentina or Russia, but numbers are stubborn. If it is true that we already have a majority that is prepared to vote themselves more goodies than what the productive economy can afford, the game will not last for long. Personally, I'm still optimistic about changing the course in time, but the danger is serious. November will be interesting.
