you know, I think you just hit upon my biggest fear of living in a socialist country. I hate waiting in lines.

And whenever I think of the old soviet union, that is the image I have in my head. Sad people waiting in lines to buy basic goods. Sad people waiting in a cold room waiting for a cursory medical exam so that they can be told to wait in line for the next doctor.

My fear is that our lives will become one long visit to the DMV.
