Of course I think many supreme court decisions are political, and I suppose a few might drive from personal like or dislike of those that pushed, passed, or signed the law.

My point is not that the supreme court never fails to do its job of following the constitution and applying it to law, but rather the opposite, that it is not unusual for it to fail to do its job, and that it has failed here.

Its not the first time, and it won't be the last. The court is a human institution, as capable of falling down on the job as any other group of, or creation of humans.
