Roberts called BS and called it what it is - a tax. Now it will always be known as a tax.
And in doing so, he gave Romney and the other Republicans running for office ample ammunition to attack Obama and the Democrats. I'm sure the commercials are already in production showing Obama declaring over and over that the mandate was not a tax. They will be very effective.

I'm coming around to the view that Roberts has the the long game in mind, not just one inning.
