My post was not meant to amuse you. I was completely serious. I was definitely not lamenting a lack of opportunity to make money. If you think that, you completely missed the point of my post. There definitely is and always will be an abundance of opportunity to make a lot of money each and every day, but like many people, I am far beyond that. I have as much money as my wife and I will ever need and much more. Neither of us have to work and we are able to enjoy life without any material worries whatsoever.
If you carefully read my post again, you will realize that it was not about missed opportunities for exploitation and capitalism. It was about recognizing and lamenting the loss of what was once a great country. I define the greatness of my country in different terms than how much money I possess or how much money I can earn today.
Like you, my wife and I enjoy outings by ourselves and with our friends at any place of our choosing, at any time that we choose, and for as long as we choose, but we no longer fly because we don't want government mobsters grabbing our privates and sexually assaulting or raping us in the name of protecting us from Muslims.
You may think you're that smug with your wry attitude of blissful ignorance, but I assure you, you are just as much a slave as I am, your blissful ignorance notwithstanding. The bastards can come along and take everything you possess and imprison you or kill you without cause at the drop of a hat, for any reason that they dream up.
