How true! Consciousness is sometimes a very heavy burden to bear--for all of us. And certainly, without wonder and imagination, Science would have no place to aim. Surely, the unknown and the awe inspiring will always be with us. Unfortunately, however, humanity is in these transitional doldrums where the sailing ships wait for the next strong winds to speed them away from a magical thinking--that stupefying thought that is no longer magical--but rather childish and embarrassing. We need to realise that Santa Claus is not real, and the pretense that she is ought to be corrected at a certain age. The unknown is still chock full of magic!! But there is childish magic and there is the adult kind. -g-
