As I figured, the right wing has gone nuts over the fact that the individual mandate was allowed on the basis of the taxation authority. Now that it's called a tax, it's evil. It really matters to them what you call it. Doesn't matter that it doesn't work any differently now than it did, it only matters that it's now called a tax.

Of course, the tax applies only to those who refuse to buy health insurance. If nobody refuses, there will be no tax. So that's one way conservatives can make sure there's no tax increase. Just buy the damned insurance. Problem solved.
