That precedent will come back to haunt us again and again, when the left has something that is unconstitutional before the court, the liberal justices now will be perfectly able to just rewrite it

Are you saying that had Roberts acted differently, future liberal justices would have been on good behavior and acted like conservatives?

IMO, it always has come down to who wins in November. If Obama has 4 more years and picks the next 2-3 members of the Court, it is over. November 2012 is the key.
