Man worked in stone because that is the enduring & obviously first available abundant material . That in all great settled agricultural civilizations , one copying from an earlier one , men achieved these monumental structures in the end , because of what ? They got really good at it in the end because there were countless earlier proto stages leading up to this, in some ways Babylon was more advanced than parts of the early Medieval Europe , all this stuff goes far far back.
How could one ignore or fail to appreciate all that intensity & fabulous motivation simply attributing to aliens is just as weak as attributing to the supernatural . It is the Natural itself that was & is enough , the vast canopy of the sparkling night skies with great moon , evening & morning stars . The sun in its glory traveling across the day , change of seasons , storms with thunder & lightning . And man standing in the middle of all this , why would you need more than this ? Theres tremendous exmples of structural design everywhere in Nature as well...
Nature is alien & all comprehensive enough , just what we can see let alone what we discovered just a few centuries ago in the little drop of pond water . There could be more , but would take first steps first and obviously that last step is a real doozy , the step into our own self awareness & psyches where the dimension of billions of neurons connected exists . |
