>>Now its all systems go. I expect LGND to announce the selection of the LLY compound and I expect it to be SRGN's IL-2 fusion protein. I think LGND will be able to apply it to cancer as well as psoriasis and it will be approved for cancer (CTCL) soon. It's revenue stream will be small by LLY standards, but sufficiently large enough to make LGND profitable in 1999. I also expect this green light to lead to the three popular press articles that I have mentioned in the past.<<

The eternal LGND optomist. The recent dilution of 15% can probably be blamed for much of LGND's price decline. At least they have gotten a good bit for their stock.

As far as the SRGN drug, we are looking at an additional $20M or so--at this point, I can only hope they pay most of it in cash to avoid more immediate dilution. 38M shares is getting up there and further dilution is not likely to be appreciated by the market.

I read about the new brain cancer treatment in an AP article on AOL. The results for brain cancer are nothing short of amazing and the best that ANY drug has ever produced. What makes you think it is the SRGN drug? If it were, I'm sure LLY would not be selling it to LGND so cheaply

As for the 3 articles and the new brokerage recs, well, we can only hope.
