The "entropic gravity" guy hasn't been buried, yet. He's held his own under scientific scrutiny. It's the most elegant explanation of gravity I've ever heard of - gravity is an emergent phenomena resulting from a holographic space-time field. No special forces needed, no special particles or whatnot. Just deduction from the laws of thermodynamics, the basic laws of physics, and entropy.
