imho events like Fukushima are going to cast a long shadow. As alternatives to nuclear continue to arise and become more cost competitive it's going to be hard to make the case to the public unless you can build the nuclear plants out in the middle of nowhere. These things have black swan written all over them - seem like a great deal until a major city has to be evacuated.

again, all imho - but it seem likely we'll see another event that will again set nuclear back - (at least nuclear as we currently know it).
