but it does not appear that any meaningful greening of North Africa was anything more than a flash geologically speaking.. in the pan over the last 20K years.. ie.. from the ending of the last Glacial Maximum..

are those all of the Sahara or coastlines .. and Nile areas ? I guess dust bowls can happen pretty quickly though.. be interesting to know the exact causes of those fluctuations.. can't see it being anthropogenic..
