could someone explAIN To me how a university can legally compel its students to pay for health insurance or they have to demonstrate that they alreadly have equivalent health insurance. one cant opt out or pay a penalty instead. this seems highly discriminatory to me and illegal. if you dont provide them with proof they just add the cost to your tuition bill. any right wing orgs wanna take up this issue? the cost of this health insurance also seems to vary a lot depending on the state and university. at some community college in maine its $300 in new hampshire its 2180 at michigan its 2813 in texas its 2000 in vermont is 2133. i think at umass its gonna be around 2600.
