According to Snopes and other reliable sources for such things, the FBI is disabling its safety net on July 9th that so far has protected computers infected with the DNSChanger virus.

To determine if your computer has the virus go to DNS Changer Working Group (DCWG) (see below) or the FBI at
https://forms.fbi.gov/check-to-see-if-your-computer-is-using-rogue-DNS.

The virus knocks both pc's and Mac's offline, so run the check here: http://dcwg.org/

To ensure you don't have it and if you do, it will tell you how to get rid of it .
