one of my hens is broodie and won't get off the nest,
so we placed three fertilized eggs under her (from a
friend who has a rooster) and she's been sitting on them
for a week. hopefully, one or more will hatch on july 15th.

i'll keep you informed :)

That is cool.

Our six hens are doing fine. They have become pretty good escape artists. Not from the closed coop. They keep flying over the short fence we put there. Gonna have to cover it, I suppose.

So far no eggs. Though we were told not to expect any until August.
