I think most of their business in Asia is with the manufacturers who
license the VCR+ technology and the TVPlus+ chipsets etc. Unless, you
expect a slowdown in sales of higher end vcr's, gmstf should not be
affected(or marginally affected).
Gemstar is still in the "positioning" phase of the game. Its starsight
guide needs to become a standard before it can start pulling in the
ad. revenues. Maybe it will WOW everyone at the winter CES and
we can see a stock movement!
